T H E SCOPE ON STRAVON At Stravon we boast the finest Trophy Red and Fallow deer hunting that New Zealand has to offer. When you arrive you will have exclusive use of Stravon Game Estate for the duration of your safari with us. We want you to have the thousands of acre’s of pristine New Zealand wilderness to scope and hunt until you find your trophies of choice. At Stravon we offer fair chase hunting in our private game estate for Red & Fallow deer or free range hunts on the Southern Alps for Himalayan Tahr or Chamois. Stravon Safaris has exclusive access to thousands of acres allowing you to hunt these majestic mountain dwellers. With your wellbeing in mind all of our guides and staff are trained in First Aid and CPR. We also carry EPIRB’S and radio gear when on hunts for safety. At Stravon Game Estate we also have the Bennett’s Wallaby. These animals resemble a Kangaroo but are slightly smaller. Bennett’s Wallaby’s are the largest of five species introduced into New Zealand in about 1874 by Michael Studholme. He released two does and a buck on the Hunter Hill‘s and over the years they have thrived and multiplied to high numbers. Hunting Wallaby’s is the perfect way to spend the day getting your aim in before you head out for the Trophy of a lifetime.
